Food manufacturing has been a Leonard family tradition for more than three generations. Dating back to 1963, Al Leonard
opened L&H Packing, a successful supplier of quality beef and pork. As the marketplace evolved, Ken Leonard introduced Surlean
Foods in 1979. An extension of L&H Packing, Surlean Foods was created to produce beef, chicken and pork products, ensuring
top quality was delivered from the pasture to the table.
Surlean Foods quickly became a culinary partner, always going the extra mile to treat customers like family. Today, new
products continue to be created to assist the American food industry in supplying a fresh array of products to growing,
evolving tastes. The custom preparation of Surlean Foods’ beef, chicken and pork allows for creativity, taste and flavor
